Our pricing philosophy: Licenses don't lose their value over time.
This concerns upgrading an older plugin to a new version.
Because a license does not lose its value you will only pay the difference between the old version's price and the new version's price. → it does not matter when you purchase a plugin and it does not matter when you upgrade a plugin.

After submitting your order you will get a so-called PayPal™ Money Request from me. A PayPal™ Request is an email that is generated and sent from PayPal™. It contains the information you need for the PayPal™ transfer, such as the amount and the recipient's email address. Then you simply log into your PayPal™ account and make the payment through PayPal's™ secured website. These transfers usually are instant.
You don't have a PayPal™ account? If you don't have a PayPal™ account you can ask a friend or colleague who has a PayPal™ account to help you out.
This is a simple wired transfer from one German account to another German account and is available only when purchasing from Germany.
These transfers usually take 1-3 business days.
International Wire Transfer
This works from all countries and all banks. It is a wire transfer with IBAN/SWIFT and BIC.
These transfers usually take 3-5 business days.
The plugins use floating licenses.
Your licenses are not locked to a single computer but can be used by any computer in your network, as long as it is connected to the license manager and as long as licenses are available.
The license manager uses the MAC address of a network device. This device can be an ethernet/network card in the computer or it can be a mobile network device as for example a BlueTooth USB Stick or a WLAN USB Stick.
Note(1): Using a mobile network device is a good choice if you want to use your license at work on a workstation but also on your laptop at home.
Note(2): The Reprise license Manager (RLM) runs under Windows 64 bit, Mac OS X 64 bit and Linux 64 bit.
All Mootzoid plugins offer the possibility to cache the data that they generate (particles, geometry, etc.) and then to render it on a render farm without requiring a license for each render node.
The process of caching data can however be a bit annoying, especially during the R&D phase when artists just want to "throw something on the farm" without the hassle of caching it first. It is possible to purchase so-called emBatch licenses for the render nodes of the farm. Such licenses will make any Mootzoid plugin run in full mode just as long as Softimage is in batch mode (which usually is the case on render farms). Note that only a single emBatch license is needed per render node regardless of the amount of plugins that are used in the scene that is being rendered.
Let's assume we have one workstation and a little render farm with ten render nodes.
In order to render on the farm using one or more Mootzoid plugins one would need ten emBatch licenses plus an interactive license for the workstation.
The emBatch licenses are currently supported by the following plugins:
To generate a license file we need you to provide us with the MAC address of the network device (= ethernet device) used in the computer that will run the license manager software.
Note that you can also provide the MAC address of a USB network device, as for example a BlueTooth USB Stick or a WLAN USB Stick.
Using a mobile network device is a good choice if you want to use your license at work on a workstation and on your laptop at home.
Here's how to get your MAC address (Windows):
- Get a DOS shell (or a SI Command Prompt).
- The first item in the list should contain the MAC address (= phys. address) of the network card,
it should look about like this:
Alternatively you can get the MAC address of a USB network device from the list.
- Enter that number into the "MAC address" textfield of the order form.
PS(1): instead of
getmac you can also use
getmac /v or
ipconfig /all to get a more detailed list of available MAC addresses.
PS(2): if you are not sure which MAC address to use you can send me a screenshot and we will pick the right MAC address for you. In that case please use
getmac /v for the screenshot.
Alternatively you can check out the following link
(Windows, Linux, Mac OS X):
Finding the MAC Address of Your Computer
Should you have trouble finding your MAC address then write me an email.
Once you purchased a plugin you get support concerning technical aspects, such as
- issues/bugs with a plugin.
- problems with the licensing.
Simply write me an email in which you specify the nature of the problem, the plugin involved and the Softimage version you are working with.
If you add an attachment (scene files, ..) please zip it!
Unfortunately I cannot provide much help concerning production related problems (e.g. "How can I achieve a certain effect ?"). Please take a look at the documentations and/or video tutorials as they cover all the basics you need to know.
Nevertheless: should the information you are looking for be missing in both, the doc and the tutorials, then drop me a quick mail and I will try to make a demo scene and/or tutorial as quickly as possible !
